The threat: Articles and archives are strip-mined by AI crawlers for training, with no attribution and no revenue back to the newsroom.

The fix: A Worker identifies AI crawlers at the edge and meters, licenses, or blocks them, turning a leak into a negotiable policy.

So what: Turn uncontrolled AI scraping into licensing leverage, or a clean block.

The threat: Comment threads, newsletter signups, and paywall account creation get hammered by bots and spam.

The fix: A grounded trust assistant answers data-handling and privacy questions from real documents, with citations.

So what: Faster advertiser and partner onboarding, with fewer back-and-forth emails.

Cloudflare Cache / CDN

The threat: Popular articles re-render on every hit, making global readers wait and hammering the origin during traffic spikes.

The fix: The edge caches the rendered page so the first reader pays the cost once and everyone after is served instantly.

So what: Faster reads worldwide and far less origin load during a traffic surge.
